South Park – Me<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Hello fellow nerds! Welcome to my blog “Talking Nerdy” and I hope that as the days move forward you find these pages entertaining, fun, and informative.\u00a0My name is Richard Keen and I live in South Florida with my partner of 17 years. I work as a IT coordinator for a mechanical contractor but my real passion is having fun role-playing, computer\/console gaming, and dressing up as a 16th Scottish sheep herder to name a few.<\/p>\n

What you see before you is the beginning of my venture into the blogging world. Here I\u00a0will share news, rants, and\u00a0reviews on games, TV\u00a0shows, movies, and anything else that tickles my nerd fancy! If you find something nerd worthy that you believe\u00a0I\u00a0should blog about please\u00a0shoot\u00a0me\u00a0email<\/a>. The nerdier the better!<\/p>\n

So why start a blog about nerdy things you ask?\u00a0I have always been drawn to all things nerdy… Dungeons & Dragons, Star Trek, Computers…. You get the picture.<\/p>\n

So upon\u00a0trolling\u00a0my Facebook news feed I stumbled\u00a0across the\u00a0“Talk Nerdy to Me!”<\/a>\u00a0video that one of my fine nerdy friends shared. I decided to take a chance, scared that\u00a0I may be\u00a0rickrolled<\/a>\u00a0in doing so.\u00a0I\u00a0was delighted to find myself watching a\u00a0masterpiece so nerdalicious\u00a0my\u00a0inner brony almost escaped it’s\u00a0prison.<\/p>\n

I decided then and there to\u00a0start a blog and share my love of everything nerdy. I began\u00a0my search for a domain\u00a0name and I was thwarted at every turn, akin to\u00a0a Jedi Apprentice at the business end of Anikan Skywalker’s light saber. I continued my search and shouted my mantra “Never Give Up! Never Surrender!” with every defeat as I searched high and low for the perfect (ok…. available) domain name. \u00a0Then it happened I found and\u00a0registered\u00a0talkingnerdy.org<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0I am 100% sure the elation I felt\u00a0was the same Link\u00a0was feeling\u00a0as he held aloft the Triforce above his green hatted head!<\/p>\n
