Oasis is a planet\u00a0colonized by humans and is their last hope\u00a0of survival since Earth (year 2032) is quickly becoming\u00a0unable to sustain life. Once Peter arrives he finds out David Morgan has gone missing. To make things worse there is something that is not quite right as colonists\u00a0are seeing apparitions that are causing them to do things with\u00a0fatal\u00a0consequences.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20697435.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-748 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20697435.jpg\" alt=\"20697435\" width=\"318\" height=\"474\" srcset=\"http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20697435.jpg 318w, http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20697435-201x300.jpg 201w, http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/20697435-154x230.jpg 154w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 318px) 100vw, 318px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The story is intriguing and well written but one thing will need to be addressed is the fleshing out of the supporting characters\u00a0which are paper thin and vanilla. I am sure if this show gets picked up their back story will receive some\u00a0attention making them more viable. Speaking about supporting characters I was delighted to see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0005286\/?ref_=nv_sr_3\" target=\"_blank\">Haley Joel Osment<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0167404\/?ref_=nv_sr_1\" target=\"_blank\">Sixth Sense<\/a> &#8211; \u00a0Cole Sear) playing Sy\u00a0a botanist and one of my favorite British actors <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0004692\/?ref_=nv_sr_1\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Addy<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0183790\/?ref_=nm_knf_t4\" target=\"_blank\">A Knight&#8217;s Tale<\/a> &#8211; Roland) playing Hallaoran both which\u00a0Richard Madden&#8217;s character Peter meets on his travels.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-750 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod.png\" alt=\"bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod\" width=\"800\" height=\"449\" srcset=\"http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod.png 800w, http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod-300x168.png 300w, http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod-768x431.png 768w, http:\/\/talkingnerdy.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/bpbqrhrkzllbnyv5ecod-410x230.png 410w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>When the episode was finished I was pleasantly surprised finding myself wanting to watch the next episode and wondering if what the colonist are facing is the strain of being on a new planet, natives of the planet, or something else.<\/p>\n<p>Head on over to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/b\/ref=dvm_us_aw_cs_pr_hud_pv_317gpd?_encoding=UTF8&amp;node=9940930011&amp;pf_rd_p=6ecbb2b3-1422-451f-85c0-4d51e71cece0&amp;pf_rd_r=ASVX165HNF0NRF5FYKJP\" target=\"_blank\">Amazon<\/a> and have a look I think you will find it an enjoyable watch.<\/p>\n<p>Nerdy out!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oasis is based on Michel Faber&#8217;s &#8216;The Book of Strange New Things&#8217; and stars\u00a0Richard Madden (Game of Thrones &#8211; Rob Stark) as Peter a priest haunted by his past, that is asked to travel to a colonized planet\u00a0by an associate David Morgan played by Jonjo O&#8217;Neill.
