Just a quick peek at D&D 5th Edition Ancient Red Dragon! Here is the graphic and some flavor text!
“I’ve been commanded to inform you that our new lord, Rezzhaxthenarin demands tribute to his queen, Tiamat. Should we reach 600k likes for the page by GenCon’s end on Sunday night, he will allow us to reveal his magnificent Red Dragon self from the Monster Manual to the world. Oh, and he also assures us we will not be eaten should we meet his demands. So please, share with your friends and let’s get this tyrant what he wants!”
So get to liking so we can see the full page Nerds!
One thing you can be certain of is that a lot of companies like to hold off showing the public stuff so they can have a big reveal at Gen Con. So I have seen two so far one is for the Pathfinder and Obsidian pairing that you can see on a previous blog.
And this next one!
It is the love child of the Dungeon & Dragons and Trapdoor Technologies pairing called D&D DungeonScape (codename was Morninstar). This is the official character generator for 5th Edition D&D! The beta is being shown off at Gen Con and you can see the pictures of it on Dwarven Foundry’s twitter page!
A lot of awesome pictures were taken at Gen Con 2014 first day! I have compiled a few of what caught my eye!
Oh and if you forgot head over to www.geeknative.com and learn about Anti Gen Con. It is pretty awesome idea allowing those of us stuck at home to connect to other gamers on Gen Con weekend. You can also win great prizes in the GenCant2014 contest!
On the eve of Gen Con 2014 I sit back and think of all the fun I have had at this convention in the past. I have had the privilege to make that journey 8 or so times and each and everytime I have had a blast and made a lot of friends and played a lot of games!
This year it was not meant to be and I will not lie, I am a bit bummed that I am not in Indy this weekend. I will live vicariously through those that are and go to my local gaming store and hang out with my fellow nerds that could not go as well.
We do have a virtual solution and you can head over to www.geeknative.com and learn about Anti Gen Con. It is pretty awesome idea allowing those of us stuck at home to connect to other gamers on Gen Con weekend. Also you can go to Twitter and see all the fun some us folks are having with #GenCant2014. If you want you can join in on the fun and enter to win a couple of prizes (details can be found here).
Thanks Chris Cormier for this awesome graphic and it just sums up how much it sucks that I could not make Gen Con on it’s 40th anniversary.
My parting words are this…gather up some friends this weekend and play a bunch of games or support your local gaming store by gaming there.
Obsidian’s first licensed product for Pathfinder will be a tablet game based on the highly successful Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, a cooperative game for 1 to 4 players. For more information check it out here!
I have played the first box set and I cannot wait to try it out on my tablet in the future!
Wizards of the Coast will release it second Core Rule book the Monster Manual on September 30th 20014. Which monsters did they decided to give us a peek at… well only one of the most iconic monsters of all time (sorry Flumphs) the Tarrasque and one of the most sacred the Sphinx!
I never met a more formidable and terrifying creature in my role-playing career and from what I can see in the picture and stats this has not changed.
If this is what they are starting us off with I am way excited to see what they are keeping to themselves.
